The System at the End of the World and How to Build a Better One: A Resource Guide

Hi all,

This is a general list of links and useful resources for anyone interested in refuting the rising tide of capitalist and right-wing/conservative discourse. It was originally conceived as a resource guide for climate activism, but will hopefully grow beyond that to cover the widest array of resources related to civil liberation, non-violent protest and action, and the creation of a fairer, more ethical and more just political and economic system.

Increasingly, policies and ideologies which have in the past resulted in the violent deaths of millions are being spruiked as rational and necessary solutions to the struggles and issues of our time. We are seeing efforts from self-proclaimed fascists and their closeted counterparts to muddy the waters of the public mind and to agitate against compassionate, demonstrably effective policies and practices in favor of unregulated free markets, ethnostates, strongman leaders and the erosion of basic principles of egalitarian democracy.

We all have an opportunity and a responsibility to confont and to challenge these attacks on our basic rights and freedoms, and on the very notions of coherence, reason and kindness themselves. Anyone interested in non-violent peaceful revolution and civil disobedience, in anticapitalist history and theory will find plenty here to get them started. The list will be updated from time to time, feel free to suggest content in the comment section below.
